WHY USE A SILAGE PILE PACKER?

Wide duals, tracks, and LSW super singles all share one goal, low ground pressure to float over soft soils. But when it comes to silage pile preservation, flotation tires work against you. Today's high-throughput forage harvesters demand more from your packing, and conventional tires can't deliver. They deform under load, leaving air pockets that drive spoilage and feed loss.

BORGH's silage packers features a solid-fill steel drum which holds its shape under full pressure, delivering consistent, wall-to-wall compaction that flotation tires can't match. Proven in European operations for decades. Now built in Alberta by BORGH.

HOW DOES A SILAGE PACKER WORK?

BORGH Silage Packers have a heavy steel solid-fill drum with steel discs that attaches to the 3-point hitch of your tractor and pushes down into the pile, compacting freshly laid forage as you drive across. Unlike conventional tires, our SPP models hold their shape and distributes weight consistently from one end to the other.

The result is a denser, more uniform pack that limits oxygen infiltration during fermentation — protecting dry matter, preserving energy content, and giving you higher-quality feed at feed-out. For any operation with considerable silage volume, a silage pile packer is a no-brainer. Built to handle high silage throughput, season after season.
